It’s hard to believe Monday is here…where does the weekend go (or time for that matter)? Hope your weekend was filled with good cheer (and some rest and relaxation)!
While I, regularly, use Monday’s to post mindset-related mantras, exercises, and techniques via this blog or on the 2 Health Nuts FACEBOOK page, I am making the conscious effort to put these EXACT strategies into practice myself. This is, especially, key for me as I start my week.
I thought it was only fitting that I share one of my favorite “self-help” books, “The Gifts of Imperfection” by Brene Brown today. I was “gifted” this book by a family member two years ago as I, unbeknownst to me, started on my journey from marriage, to now single and divorced.
Through all of the struggle, heartbreak, and sadness I have endured, I turned to this book time and time again for comfort, (re)assurance, and even some guidance. Brene’s message and content is delivered in a way that makes you feel she is speaking directly to you.
It’s eloquent, poignant, & speaks from the heart.
I am sharing this with you because I think it is a wonderful addition to anyone’s nightstand collection. While it has helped me try and find solutions (and understanding) during a time that I have been left without a whole lot of answers, it, truly, speaks to wide audience of individuals.
I firmly believe in the tagline of the book “Your Guideline to a Wholehearted Life.” I like to think of it as a “workout” for my mindset; an exercise in living out an authentic life, regardless of how “perfect” or “imperfect” in may look.
I highly recommend that you check out Brene Brown’s official site to read more about her, her life, and all of the wonderful literature and courses she has to offer! Her work is an inspiration, and a true GIFT to all those who embrace it!
